All pre-registered and on-site Conference attendees need to pick up their Conference Credentials at the Nano 2003 Registration counter in the upper lobby of the North Hall Moscone convention Center.

Presentation Guidelines

POST-DEADLINE PAPERS: In order to bring break-through results in the field of Nanotechnology to IEEE NANO 2003 attendees, a post-deadline paper session is planned on Thursday the 14th August from 2.00-3.30 p.m. Prospective authors should submit a 3 page camera ready paper (using same author guidelines for manuscripts available on the NANO web) to Program Chair Prof. Chennupati Jagadish by email (c.jagadish@ieee.org).
Deadline for post-deadline papers is: July 11th, 2003.

IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology (T-NT): Special Issue

T-NT plans to publish a special issue consisting of selected papers presented at the IEEE Nano 2003. Authors are welcome to submit their papers directly to the T-NT Editor. Resubmission of the Proceedings manuscript, as is, may not be acceptable in most cases. This is an opportunity to expand the work with a more substantive and rigorous discussion suitable for IEEE journal publications.

Manuscripts should be prepared according to the instructions on the Transactions website. http://www.ieee.org/organizations/pubs/transactions/tnano.htm The publication of the manuscripts for this special issue will conform to the rules for regular papers in the IEEE T-NT. The papers will be reviewed according to the usual IEEE
T-NT standards. To be included in the special issue, manuscripts must be submitted via the Transactions website prior to the beginning of the conference. Authors should identify this as an IEEE-NANO 2003 submission.

Hotel & Travel: Wescon has extended it's convention rates for Hotel and Travel to attendees of IEEE-NANO.
A list of hotel and special travel discounts as well as how to obtain them are available at
http://www.wescon.com/hotel.lasso. Evening events not located in Moscone Center will be held at the Argent Hotel
San Francisco Convention and Visitor's Bureau

Student Travel Assistance: Partial travel support may be available for students participating in the conference, particularly students (graduate or undergraduate) presenting talks or posters at the conference, and undergraduate students involved in academic or research programs related to nanotechnology. Requests for student travel support should be sent to Prof. David Janes at Purdue University
(janes@ecn.purdue.edu, Tel 765-494-9263,Fax. 765-494-2706).
Deadline for requests is June 1, 2003. Students who are awarded travel assistance will be
notified by July 1, 2003 and will be reimbursed following the conference.
Please download your Student Travel Assistance Application here: Word / PDF
Student Paper Awards: Awards will be presented for the best student paper and best student poster.
In order to qualify for a student paper/poster award, the paper/poster must be presented by the student,
and the work described should be primarily that of the student. To enter your paper in the Student Paper Contest,
follow the instructions at http://www.ieee.org/organizations/pubs/confpub/nano03/authors/
